Some arrived as surprises, some were given a second chance, and some seem convinced they own the place. We’re a family with a soft spot for muddy hooves, feathered mischief and animals with opinions. Come and meet our residents—just don’t tell Bingo we’re in charge.
One unexpected arrival. One tiny diva.
Louie arrived in the most dramatic way possible. We were convinced his mum was pregnant, but scan after scan found no heartbeat. Then, on our first night away in Hunstanton, our friend rang: “You’ve got a foal on the floor!” And just like that, King Louie made his entrance.
Minnie has been with us since she was ten months old. She’s probably the sassiest small horse you’ll ever meet, but she has a soft spot for cuddles and fuss from her favourite little humans.
Four celebrities, zero respect for personal space.
Our beautiful brown girl has one true passion: mealworms. If you’re carrying a bag, she assumes it’s full of treats and WILL be investigating.
Our white-and-silver beauty is proof that looks and common sense don’t always arrive together. She’s gloriously ditsy, permanently adorable and we wouldn’t change her.
Grey and white with a funky hairdo, Miley runs the show. She tells pigeons off, puts Dexter in his place and makes herself very known at feeding time.
Dexter has no time for ducks outside his group of girls, but around humans he’s a total wimp. He takes looking after his ladies very seriously.

They’re tiny, demanding, argumentative and constantly up to something. Baby Duck is the random Indian Runner duckling who tagged along. Different shape, same chaos. We adore every one of them.

Rescued from being eaten after life as egg layers, these two have embraced freedom with enthusiasm: escaping pens, exploring the garden, requesting cuddles and staying up past bedtime.
Elsa, our tame Covid baby, loves attention—strictly on her terms. She was heartbroken when she lost her friend Heihei, pictured here with her. Thankfully she’s found companionship again.
After we found Muffin with half a leg missing, she needed patient rehabilitation, daily cleaning and lots of help learning to get around. Today she’s thriving, laying big blue eggs and keeping the youngsters in line.
Bingo doesn’t like people, vanishes to secretly sit on enormous nests, hatches chicks without permission and sleeps wherever she likes. We’re pretty sure we live in Bingo’s world.
Born here with splayed legs and a scissor beak, Hulk needed round-the-clock care and a homemade bandage to learn to walk. Now she’s a happy red-and-golden cuddle-loving chicken who follows the family everywhere.
The only egg to hatch from Bingo’s famous 30-egg discovery! Rizzo grew up alongside ducklings, then joined Hulk for extra warmth and care. The two are now best friends and proper people-loving chucks.
One little fighter, one unlikely hatchling, and a friendship that grew out of needing a bit of extra care. These two are proper human chucks, and they wouldn’t have it any other way.
Every hatch has a theme. Every duckling has a name. Every single one has an attitude!

Freshly hatched and already causing a seasoning of chaos!
Sometimes we hatch our very own fluffy babies! They grow up as part of our busy family homestead, surrounded by children and our friendly dogs. We give them plenty of care and attention so they're confident, friendly little characters when they're ready for a suitable new home.
We take finding the right homes seriously, and we're always happy to welcome a duckling back if circumstances change. We do our best to identify their sex, but any early estimate is only around 80% certain.
There's a £10 contribution per duckling on collection, which helps with our homestead bills. Availability and collection are always subject to the ducklings being old enough and ready to leave.
